ABOUT ME
Tara Merson’s yoga journey began at an early age, inspired by her grandmother, a pioneering yoga teacher who helped introduce the practice to the New York area in the 1970s. This deep-rooted connection to yoga has profoundly shaped Tara’s path, leading her to become a dedicated Yoga Instructor. Her classes are renowned for being challenging, invigorating, joyful, and, above all, FUN!

Beyond her yoga expertise, Tara holds certifications in Functional Nutrition, Ayurveda, Eating Psychology, and Holistic Health. She seamlessly integrates these disciplines into her yoga practice, creating a holistic approach that guides individuals toward achieving optimal well-being.

Her passion for physical and mental wellness inspired a transition from a successful career in brand management at Sony Corporation, following her MBA from NYU Stern School of Business, to a fulfilling career in health and wellness.

Tara’s commitment to service is evident in her volunteer work, where she offers yoga classes to women at Oasis, a sanctuary for those in need. She also serves on several boards, including the Jewish Federation of Northern NJ and Jewish Children and Family Services, and holds the position of Executive Vice President at her local JCC.

When she’s not teaching yoga, Tara enjoys creating healthy vegetarian meals and spending quality time with her family, friends, and her dog, Maverick.
